Student / Project Registration

This page is intended for school coordinators who have already registered their school.

Linked to this page, you will find almost all the documents and forms that you need to proceed with the entry process in to the Calgary Youth Science Fair in March 2012. It is important that you print all the documents and read through them thoroughly before you begin working with your students. The Student/Project Registration Form is the only document not available from this page. You will receive a link to that document directly from the entries committee in mid November, after your school has been successfully registered.

If any of your students intend to use animals, animal tissues or human subjects in their projects, they must fill out the Ethics and Due Care Form and send it to the Chair of the Ethics and Safety Committee before they begin working on their project. They can proceed with their project once approval has been granted by the Chair of the Ethics and Safety Committee. As well, there is an additional form that must be used by entrants who use human beings as subjects in their studies. It is named the Informed Consent Form. All human subjects in a study must fill out this form.

IMPORTANT CHANGE: When filling out Student/Project Registration Forms in previous years, students were asked to choose the category that best described their projects. This year, students will be asked to choose the Division and Topic(s) that best describe their projects. Please review DIVISION/TOPIC Descriptions with your students before they fill out their Student/Project Registration Forms.
