Fund Raising

The Calgary Youth Science Fair Society (CYSFS) is supported through the generous donations of our sponsors and supporters. In addition, funds are also received through participation in a charitable casino license and from the Calgary Science Fair Endowment Fund.

The CYSFS is fortunate to have outstanding support from several sponsors in the Calgary community; these are listed on the Sponsor Page of this website. Sponsorship support allows the CYSFS to host the largest science fair in Canada and to promote an interest in project based science across the City of Calgary.  Registration in the CYSF is free and all participants are awarded a medal for their impressive efforts. Thanks to our sponsors, the CYSF continues to recognize excellence in science and technology in Calgary youth and also sends a team of up to 12 students all expenses paid to the Canada Wide Science Fair each year!

The Society is registered with the Government of Alberta and with Government of Canada Revenue Agency. We recognize all donations to the science fair with a thank you letter and a tax receipt is issued for all donations received by the society.

All sponsors are recognized at the Science Fair through inclusion in a power point program which is run throughout the science fair and at the awards ceremony. In addition, the names of sponsors are listed on the Sponsor Page of this web site.
